New York City Rescue Mission is now The Bowery Mission
In this virtual event, CEO James Winans shared about how New York City Rescue Mission and The Bowery Mission have joined forces and how, together, we’re providing more critical care and HOPE to New Yorkers in need.
Topics that were discussed include:
- The amazing history, unique strengths and common purpose of New York City Rescue Mission and The Bowery Mission
- How we are leveraging almost 300 combined years of service and bringing together the best of both missions to meet even more needs in our community and increase our impact
- How, together, we are able to love well and provide a continuum of care to best serve the needs of those experiencing homelessness and hunger
“We want to honor our rich history and legacy, while carrying it forward in a manner that is dynamic and relevant to today’s needs….Today, we remain a place that offers a helping hand through deep faith, a caring community and life transformation.” — James Winans, CEO
